1. India-First Privacy Framework
This page describes how DigiVite.in respects and implements user privacy rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India. While we are an Indian-focused platform, we strive to follow standard data protection practices globally. This document describes the rights available to you as a Data Principal under Indian law.
2. Data Principal Rights under DPDP Act, 2023
In accordance with the DPDP Act, Indian residents (Data Principals) possess the following rights regarding the personal data processed by DigiVite (acting as the Data Fiduciary):
- Right to Access Summary: You have the right to request a summary of the personal data currently being processed, the processing activities, and the identities of other data processors with whom the data has been shared.
- Right to Correction, Completion, & Updating: You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate data, completion of incomplete profiles, or updating of outdated details.
- Right to Erasure (Withdrawal of Consent): You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or when you withdraw your consent. This can be done via our Account Deletion Page.
- Right of Grievance Redressal: You have the right to register grievances with our designated Grievance Officer regarding any act or omission by us. If a grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Right to Nominate: You have the right to nominate any other individual to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act in the event of your death or incapacity.
3. Exercising Your Rights
To submit a request regarding your data principal rights, please write to our compliance team from your registered email address at compliance@digivite.in. Before fulfilling any data access or erasure requests, we are required to verify your identity to protect your account from unauthorized access.
